Why do we choose bamboo?

1. Renewable. It’s one of the world’s fastest growing renewable resources. Depending on the species, bamboo can be harvested in one to five years. Hardwoods like oak take at least forty years to mature before they can be harvested. Bamboo's versatility as a substitute for hardwoods offers a chance to drastically reduce deforestation.

  1. 2. Absorbs greenhouse gases. Bamboo utilizes carbon dioxide at a rate astronomically higher than other trees, and does it year round because it is an evergreen.

3. Rapid growth rate. Bamboo has been measured growing more than 47 inches in a 24-hour period., it will grow a new shoot from its extensive root system with no need for additional planting or cultivation.

4. Versatility. Bamboo can replace the use of wood for nearly every application. Handcrafts, flooring, decking, furniture and much more can be made from bamboo. What's more, bamboo fibers are far stronger than wood fibers and much less likely to warp from changing atmospheric conditions.

5. Eco-friendly. Unlike most cash crops, bamboo requires no agricultural chemicals to thrive. Bamboo sequesters nitrogen and cultivation does not add chemicals to the environment.

6. Abundant resource. China is the origin of the world’s bamboo and the bamboo center of the earth. China has the name of “the kingdom of bamboo” with the most bamboo species, the most bamboo growing area, and the most bamboo material output. Our county-Anji has the honor of being bamboo’s “hometown” in China.

7. Economical. As the sufficient bamboo resource all over the world, bamboo is more affordable than many hardwood trees which need many years to be harvested.
